Question / Help Help. Obs seems to make my pc run at a lower FPS But the stream isnt laggy.

When i open Obs and have any type of capture my pc display seems to drop to 40 fps but the stream is still running in the fps i put in obs. no lag or anything. If ANYONE knows anything please help. Only started happening about a week ago before that it was fine. This is my first post on the forum so please forgive any mistakes.

I dont stream at 1080p though, i stream at 720p. Plus the issue is that the stream doesnt lag but my pc runs at a lower fps then it should. It worked until about a week ago. Hadnt changed any settings at all.
