Question / Help help not letting me record

when i try to record, its says i need permission to write to my hard drive, but I have a lot of storage and i'm using my admin account. and the log file button is just blank..

Then link your OBS log.

That log doesn't have a recording attempt in it.

Wrong. Logs are ALWAYS generated EVERY launch of OBS.

The logfile says you have Avast Antivirus. It may be that Avasts ransomware protection blocks writing into that directory. Check your Antivirus for that and allow writing for OBS, if you found that Avast really blocked the writing attempt.

Harold, when i launch obs and press record, then i get the error, and then when i press show current log file, there's nothing.

Koala, when I whitelist OBS on avast, I still cant record.

Restart your computer, re-create the issue, then upload the CURRENT log using the help menu and paste the link.

Never mind, I just had to put the output into a USB drive. Thanks for helping though!
