HELP! No desktop sound

For some reason I have NO sound coming from my desktop speakers and I do not have the Mac output in the configuration list for desktop audio. I cannot find anything in Security & Privacy that would block it. Need quick help. have a key session tomorrow!

Hi quietype, (was your username inspired by this issue? haha)

If you mean you want to hear your inputs through your desktop speakers, I think you're looking for "Monitoring Device" under "Advanced" in the audio settings. Desktop audio under global audio devices is an input setting.

Please respond if that sorted things or not.
