Okay so I stream and my past few broadcast on Twitch.TV have been ended up good for about 1-2 minutes then this happens... It drops +1,000 frames! Any idea why? This has been happening ever since the new Twitch.TV transcoder, please help me!!

My stream settings are below:
720p@60fps
Bitrate: 3500
Max Bitrate: 4000
FPS: 60

My upload speed: 20-60
I want my stream settings to be as epic as this guy http://www.twitch.tv/swifty
Help me out!

Error Log:

http://www.testmy.net/upload -- Make sure to pick a test server near the one you would be streaming to, to get an accurate reading of what you can maintain to that area.
Why do I have to do this? I'm streaming in "New York City" and my upload is provided.
I know streaming has to do with all upload, already provided it in the OP.

please do not edit your posts for logs or anything just add an reply ;D so we get a better follow through

do an upload test on http://www.testmy.net and chose the closest server to you, obviously

also get rid of the custom x264 preset since its obviously a failure

try not to use a custom buffer size in most cases the default buffer works

everything else in case of lagged frames and render time looks fine

Just do it. I explained to why the reason to do it.

And, for the record, Swifty's rough settings:
Video:
Detected FPS: 25
Resolution: 1920x1080
Detected Bitrate: 3351 kbps
Specified FPS: 25.000
vbv-bufsize: 3500 kbps
vbv-maxrate: 3500 kbps
Estimated Keyint: 1.16s ±0.7 (26.58 frames ±10.76)

Audio:
Info: aac, 44100 Hz, stereo, s16, 128 kb/s

Software:
Device: XSplitBroadcaster
Encoder: XSplit 1.3.1308.3002 Version 1.3

I got rid of the custom x264 preset, also removed the custom buffer size!
On that site that you dudes provided me with I couldn't find an area near me or NYC, could I use Speedtest as an alternative?

East Coast US -- Washington DC. It's more than close enough.
Testing right now...

Download :: 50.4 Mbps
Upload :: 2.7 Mbps

PS. Not sure why the upload+ download is coming out so low! Usually get double/triple those speeds via Speedtest/My Provider!

speedtest is literally one burst moment.

while testmy.net is your average

so the quality with 720@60 between 2000-2500 bitrate should be fine in my opinion and will probably fix your huge amount of dropped frames

obviously if you are downloading most clients use the nearest server so you get a download rate which is closer to the speedtest result but whatsoever testmy.net has proven itself in case of streaming to be a reliable upload test source

Yes, because Speedtest's method of testing is designed for burst, not for sustained speed. And you cannot trust an ISPs own tests, obviously they will paint an overly pretty picture of their own packages. To sell more of them. Ever ate a BigMac that actually looked like the one in the pictures? I never did. ;)

Anyhow, with 2.7 Mbps upload try limiting your max bitrate to around 2500 Kbps (to allow for some room of error and for some bandwidth for the games you play and such).

I literally used to stream at 720p@60fps w/ 7000 bitrate and NEVER used to drop any frames.
People used to say there was no need for that so I lowered it, I'm paying for 101 download/60+ upload so not sure how it's a one burst moment! I'll try the 2000-2500 bitrate though!

not possible twitch server wouldnt really let that amount if bitrate go through since they dont even recommend to go with anything around 4000 bitrate so more people can watch it and the server traffic isnt that huge since pretty much everything above 3000bitrate is getting wasted on 720p

Hmm, I'm streaming right now with the settings and I just dropped 200 frames.. something isn't right..

Fact of the matter is; dropped frames are related to your connection to Twitch. Whether that is a local issue (something about your Internet connection or about the connection between your PC and your router) or related to Twitch or to a network in between you and Twitch is irrelevant, mostly.

OBS' netcode did not somehow get more inefficient in recent times. In fact, if anything, its netcode has seen many optimizations in recent times so it should be able to more efficiently communicate with Twitch.

Try running Shaper Probe ( http://www.cc.gatech.edu/~partha/diffpr ... probe.html ) to check for traffic shaping by your ISP.

It was never this hard to setup a stream, always had it perfect..
The new Twitch transcoder/settings come out and I have this HUGE issue where I drop massive frames..
It makes no sense.. I'll try running the Shaper Probe and reporting back.. Just makes no sense that a new update rolls out and this issue happens.
