Question / Help Help me set up my OBS for game recording

Hi guys,

Hope you can help me out as I am new to using OBS. I have everything else figured out as far as setting up my scenes and such. The only thing I really need help with is setting up my audio, video and encoding settings. The reason why I need help with this is because I tried recording some gameplay and the recording skips quite a bit so much so that it is't even worth watching. The audio however is perfect so no worries with that.

Here is my computer stats.

Processor: Intel Celeron CPU N2920 @ 1.86 GHz

Installed Memory: 8GB of RAM

OS: Windows 8.1 64bit

Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics (which I have no idea which one I have installed because when I go to the Device Manager it only says "Intel HD Graphics")

Hopefully someone here can help me out with proper settings so that when I record gameplay the recordings are smooth.

Thanks in advance for any help provided!

I assume local recording right?

Your CPU is really outdated. The only setting that could work in my opinion is:
Encoding
Use CBR: unticked
Quality Balance: 10
Maxbitrate: 1000
Use Custom Buffersize: Ticked
Buffersize: 0

Video: 30FPS and maybe Downscale the resolution.

Advanced:
Preset: Ultrafast
Use CFR: Ticked

The rest as it is. If it's still not good you have to Upgrade your PC wich I would recommend in the first Place.
My 3 Year Old Laptop got more Power.
