whenever i try to record on my computer things like minecraft the video ends up laggy and horrible but in the game im not experiencing any lag at all please help me fix this

So do I do something with my game or with OBS because it’s not just minecraft that gets the laggy videos it also happens to other games

Enter Minecraft video op`tioins and enble VSync to limit FPS, as @Sapiens said.

You system is weak to encode live video. So, limiting FPS ingame helps you.
In any other game, do the same: search Vsync in video optionms and enable it lo limit FPS in game.

i did that already it dosent help. i changed OBS prioriy and it helps with the video but when i set it to high it lags my game instead any options for OBS settings?

What kind of FPS are you getting in Minecraft now, before you launch OBS?

About 30 it stays the same with OBS running unless I make the priority on highest then the game gets laggy and weird

Did you cap the frame rate at 30? That seems really low.

No the max is the default 120 but 30 FPS runs fine for me in the game

My system is fine here Its OBS that refuses to work correctly

No it's not. You don't have a discrete GPU other than that Intel HD Graphics and that 'low-powered' i5 as it's only a dual core with hyper threading. That would be why you've got the U-type CPU on the 7200U.

So what you suggest I do here (except get a new laptop)
