That is because, as the filename suggests a package for Ubuntu 24.04.

There has not been an OBS release since Ubuntu 25.10 is released.

Explain...?

Ubuntu 25.10 was released on October 9, 2025
OBS Studio 32.0.2 was released on October 28, 2025
OBS Studio 32.0.3 was released on December 5, 2025
OBS Studio 32.0.4 was released on December 13, 2025

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but it looks as though there have been three OBS Studio releases since Ubuntu 25.10 was released.

These are patch releases. Only major version will pick up new platforms.
I don't think this is exactly right -- OBS 32.0.0 released on Sep 22, at which point Ubuntu 25.04 had been out for almost five months. Still it was generated for Ubuntu 24.04 and not a later version.

My suspicion is that the releases on github are only targeting the LTS versions of Ubuntu.

Unfortunately, the launchpad packages for Ubuntu also tend to lag new Ubuntu releases by several months or more.

Never mind, I now see the plucky release there for 32.0.0 . Too bad that the OBS patch releases aren't also available for plucky or ubuntu versions later than 24.04 .

I'm actually not sure about the .deb files on Github releases. Usually PPA is the recommended way to install on Ubuntu systems. For PPAs it usually is as I described.

I see 32.0.2 for Plucky on the PPA. Which is the latest OBS for Linux as advertised on the homepage. Without checking I assume .3 and .4 address things for Windows and macOS and therefore Linux versions are not updated.

Else there may be other reasons why it lags behind.. infrastructure issues, lack of time..
