Question / Help Help i need obs to recognize my mic

It's a Sades SA-809 headset. I use soundflower to capture desktop audio and it works fine and also plays through the headset well but how do I set up it's microphone? This is what it looks like...

...and this is that audio splitter I use (belkin). The red end is for the mic, and the green end is for the headphone speakers. I plug in the white end into the computer.

That's not how you're supposed to plug the mic in to your computer.
If you have a combined mic/headphone port, the splitter needs to be a special TRRS connector not the TRS connector you're using.

i am so mad right now. i just spent $20 on that piece of junk on amazon. can you show me a good example of the splitter you described? otherwise i'll just spring for blue snowball or something
