Hello, I have encountered a problem after formatting my computer. After installing OBS and setting it up the same as before after I finished recording I saw that I don't have the option to undo my video in the editing software it is the same. This problem did not occur before the format nor does it occur in other videos not recorded with OBS.

That is an issue on the editing software you're using. If you're recording into mkv make sure the editing software have support for it.
In normal usage any modern editing software supports the format. What some software do is to not allow too many undo steps. You should check the settings on the software you're using.

Undo your video? What does that even mean?

Unrecord? Just delete it.

Undo edits? OBS is not an editor. Ask about that in the designated place for your editor.

Does a new recording overwrite an existing file, so that your editor gets the new information from the same path? I've used that trick on purpose to manually swap a proxy file for the real one, but I don't think that's what you're doing. Anyway, for that:

And make sure to use the %placeholders in the Filename Formatting. They'll keep the filenames unique anyway, so the Overwriting setting doesn't really matter. If I were to start recording now, the actual filename (in my timezone) would be 2023-08-15_Tues_18-57-30.mkv
