Hi All,
So I'm trying to switch to OBS from Wirecast, and in the process of rebuilding all my shots (scenes in obs speak) in OBS. There is one in particular that runs during our pre-show, that works like this:
Scene shows a room with a TV in it. The TV displays a mixed content playlist, it currently plays 3 minutes of music off a royalty free playlist from spotify which is running in the background, (and shows the currently playing track/artist on the tv screen in the scene as well). then once 3 minutes has elapsed, the tv screen switches from whatever's playing on spotify at the time over to playing a informational video for however long that video is, most are in the area of 30 seconds-ish. Then, once the video ends, the tv screen in the scene goes back to playing another 3 minutes of audio from whatever is on spotify at the time, then goes to the next video in the playlist to play on the tv in the scene, and so forth until weve switched the scene to the main scene to start the show.
(hopefully you're still following along at this point.)
In wirecast, this is easily all done by what's called a playlist shot, which is something it seems obs doesnt have or I can't find, but basically the playlist shot/scene is a collection of other shots/scenes with a setting on how long to play each scene contained in it. It's set so that if the playlist shot/scene is active, it plays the scenes inside it in order, and knows how long to leave each shot/scene in the playlist running before switching to the next scene in the playlist, and loops to the first scene again once it's reached the end.
Obvious question incoming....
Does anyone know how I might recreate this within OBS? Or if it's even possible?
Thanks!
