Help for future livestream

I am a newbie here, hopefully this is the right place to ask this question.
I have the link for a livestream of an event that will start while I am sleeping. Is there a way to set this up in advance to record the whole livestream, and if so can you tell me how?
I have a MacBook Air M1.

I haven't done this, but it should be possible:

1. set up a browser source pointed at the URL for the livestream -- this assumes that all you have to do is load the URL. If there's a login or something, you may be out of luck, but maybe it will let you log in ahead of time and persist that until the stream starts
2. install the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin, and set up a time-based macro to start recording at the appropriate time
   1. You may also need to make the browser source active so that it reloads the URL when the stream starts -- not sure about that part, but it could be a second action on the same time-based macro
