Help First time setup with OBS / Traktor and Soundflower (two computers)

I have discovered OBS for streaming with Traktor and Sounflower as an aggregate device. it works great. I have Soundflower set up and all works well when everything is in one Mac.

As i added scenes and more complexity to OBS I noticed the CPU load is stressed so I wanted to use Traktor in a second computer and keep OBS in this one.

I have set up a second Mac with Tractor connected to my controller as per this diagram (D) in the Traktor site:

https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007100918-TRAKTOR-Streaming-Guide but I am not getting signal in Desktop Audio.

I am seeking guidance step by step (for dummies) as to how to change my configuraiton in OBS, Mac Audio Midi or Soundflower to make this work. If that is not possible and if I require cables or hardware, I have two MacBook Pros, 2011 and 2017 respectively with High Sierra OS.

Thank you in advance.

Do you have Soundflower installed on the 2nd computer, your 'streaming machine'? You'll need Soundflower (or iShowU, or similar) to capture 'Desktop audio'. But if you're using an audio interface on the 'streaming machine', you should be able to just select that as an audio input device in OBS.

I've actually completely disabled 'Desktop audio' in OBS on my Macs in the Audio Settings. This means that no audio devices appear in scenes unless they are manually added. I think that this is the preferred method on a Mac.

HI Robin. Thank you. I think I understand it better today than the other day..

I have OBS and sound flower on both macs. During the past few days, I've streamed with both traktor and OBS inthe same machine and I have tweaked the settings and it has gotten much much better but still I think it will be an advantage to use a separate machine since I have it.

So just to make sure.

1. I will purchase on of these or similar (any recommendations welcome) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0023BYDHK
2. I connect via USB to the machine where will use OBS to stream
3. I connect an RCA (or whatever fitx depending on whatI finally by from the OUT of the S4 controller to the input of the audio device
4. I should see the sound device in OBS? (this is the part that I question, the set up part)

Thanks again and let me know if you have advice on thisl

So sorry for the very slow response @Fdelasmusic, I've been away from the forum for some time...

Did you buy the Behringer interface? I have the older version of that model and have used it without issues in the past, so I would recommend it myself as a simple RCA interface. It should then show up as a selectable audio output Source in OBS.

Please let me know how you got on with this. Cheers, Robin.
