Hello, I'm an absolute noob with using a Window in general. Most of my life I've been using Mac and I finally built myself a PC after playing a game "Genshin Impact".
Recently I've been enjoying myself in recording my genshin gameplays and I do be liking to record my encounters with many characters. I've known about OBS during University (College) and have touched a bit, but not really.
Anyways, as the title says, my mic is getting captured in the "Desktop Audio" Track, which has been frustrating me during my editing process of the video.
I have also used this forum --> https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/desktop-audio-picking-up-on-mic-channel.108312/
to solve the issue, but with no luck, nothing changed.
I use the Elgato Wave 3 Mic and a Steelseries Artics 3 Headset.
Before anyone says "maybe the headset is doing it", NO it's not, I have checked and the mic attached to the Headset does not pick my voice.
According to the previous forum I mentioned, i have the exact setting set up at them. (of course, the device names be different.)
In my Windows sound setting, in the device properties --> In the Listen tab --> above the 'Playback through this device' --> 'Listen to this device' box is UNCHECKED.
As for the audio tracks after exporting into MKV --> Remux to Mp4 --> Opening in DaVinci Resolve = I can see that there are two audio tracks.
- Audio Track 1 = the Genshin game audio + my voice
- Audio Track 2 = Just my voice
So I definitely know that the audio track seperation is working properly, which lies to the unknown issue of WHY TF IS MY MIC PICKED UP IN THE DESKTOP AUDIO. (Excuse my language)
I would appreciate so much if this can be fixed!
