Hello guys,

I'd like to find the ideal spec for streaming since i either get fps loss in-game/ lag in-game/ fps loss on stream/ lag on stream. It's driving me nuts!!

Net up - 8mb
Net down - 30 mb

Pc Specs:
Intel i5 2.67 Ghz ( 3.0 oc. )
Ati HD 5770
4GB Ram DDR3
2 HDD
500gb 7200 rpm
120gb SSD

Im connected trough wireless N.

Many thanks in advance!

Could you tell us what settings have you used before and with what effect? What kind of source do you use to capture your game?

It differs from your resolution, but I'd stick with something similar to this at start: 1280x720, 30FPS, quality differs from what genre of game are you trying to stream, x264 preset: the second from top, bitrate: about 3500 - 4000kbps. These are just basic setting good for starting off.
If it comes to sources, I'd go with Game Capture [experimental] because of it's performance.

Id love to see some logs of what you've tried already! :)

As for what you have to offer, the GPU isn't the most ideal for streaming. a 5770 isnt the best GPU considering its generation but mostly the fact that it is in the 57xx series. a 5870 would much better.

You have an i5, what i5? the Ghz is not the absolutely most important part, the model number (i.e. intel i5-2500k @ x.xx Ghz tells us a lot more)

anyways.. an i5 should be able to do 1280x720, though Im not sure as I do believe(not sure) if this game uses more GPU and your 5770 might bottleneck you. 480p would be a better choice then. FPS: Again depending on your CPU Id set this to 25 or 30.

You have more than sufficient upload for any resolution up to 1080p, so something between 2000 to 4000 should be way more than enough.

As micechal said, try to use Game Capture.

Hey, first of all thanks for awnsering!

I have a native res of 1680x1050 ( My aspect ratio is 16:10 ) so if i stream at 720p i get black bars at the sides which aren't the best visual experience.
My CPU is a i5-750. I stream mainly League of Legends.

I'm afraid i don't have any logs since i don't know how to get them ( silly me ). But id really like to try 60 fps since of the smoothness for the streamers.

EDIT: I also have win7 in 64bit so i should get the 64bit right? or 32bit since the game capture is buggy in 64bit?

The black bars syndrome is difficult to deal with because you operate on that resolution. The best way to deal with it is a new monitor. Difficult option for some, but monitors are relatively cheap, I would highly recommend it.

Second option is stretching the image. Game capture will have this in a future version, but the others you should be able to stretch just fine, you can turn off aspect while scaling with Shift.

If you're getting stream lag, please let me see a log if possible.
