I tried to attach a video of my obs recording, although I'm not sure if it worked because it might have been too big of a file. I also put it on Youtube here in case that doesn't work:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEBdZ68Vz0c&feature=youtu.be
It starts out ok if a bit fuzzy, but as the video goes on it starts lagging and skipping, the audio goes out of sync, and the resolution is simply horrible. I've fiddled with the settings a bit based on various guides I've found but I don't really know what I'm doing. Can somebody ELI5 and help me get my recordings to look decent? My rig is as follows:
i5-6400 2.7 GHz
NVidia GT 730 graphics card
8 GB ram
Windows 10
I'm currently using Overwatch game capture as my source with the following settings (keep in mind i have no idea what most of these do)
Encoding:
Encoder: x264

Max Bitrate: 1000
Enable CBR padding: enabled
Use Custom Buffer Size: Not enabled
Codec: MP3

Force Microphone/Auxiliary to Mono: Enabled
Show only connected devices: enabled

Mic/Aux Boost (multiple): 1
Mic Sync Offset (milliseconds): 0
Advanced:
Use Multithreaded Optimizations: enabled
Process Priority Class: Normal
Scene Buffering Time (milliseconds): 700
x264 CPU Preset: veryfast
Encoding Profile: high
Keyframe Interval (seconds, 0=auto): 0
Use CFR: enabled
Custom x264 Encoder Settings: Not enabled
Encode in Full Range: Not Enabled
Allow 61-120 FPS: Not enabled
Force desktop audio to use video timestamps as a base for audio time: Enabled
Global Audio Sync Offset (milliseconds): 0
Use Mic QPC timestamps: Not enabled
Let me know if there's other information you need. I really don't know what's important and what isn't.
Thanks for the help!
