Hi all I know this has probably been asked many times in the past so I apologize in advance. Also I know this software is no longer supported but if anyone has any ideas, that would be cool.
My mic does not work with obs as of today after a windows 10 update. It is a realtek 3.5mm headset wired and it works fine with all other applications such as discord, skype, ect. In the sound menu in windows, the levels are set to be loud and clear and indeed I can hear my own voice when testing it through the 'listen to this device' option.
Things I have tried so far:
Opened OBS in administrator mode.
Checked the microphone level in OBS (it is maxed).
Checked the microphone noise gate under settings (no activity being picked up at all).
Checked under audio each of my microphone sources including my webcam mic, my vr headset, my main headset (default one i am trying to use). None are being picked up.
Restarted the computer.
Rolled back windows 10 to the previous version.
Unchecked the setting in windows sounds allowing programs to take exclusive control of the microphone
Pictures below are of me talking into the mic and it picking up fine in windows. Ive given up for now, but if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.
