First off i would like to say thanks to whoever made this software, it seems to work very well : )

There isnt as much tweaking options in this as xsplit but i figure id post here anyways to see if i can get some help. FIrst off here is a video i just made:

http://www.twitch.tv/araxxis/b/348687443

I think its "ok" but ive seen better looking 1080p streams with similar internet/PC (i have 4.2 upload and PC Is 2500k, GTX 465, 8GB 1600mhz ram).

My settings are :

3500 bitrate + buffer
1920x1080
30FPS
7 Quality (10 gets more pixelated)

I use dxtory as my source and have everything set the same in there as well.

I have tried bringing my bitrate up to 3850 and i didnt notice a difference, so i just kept it at 3500 to be safe.

Thoughts or suggestions would be great, do you think i can get a better lookin stream or is this about it?

If when streaming your CPU has high enough reserve, you could try choosing a slower x264 encoder, which should output better quality video. The 'Quality' setting differs from what type of game are you playing. Check the tooltip for more info (move your mouse over it in OBS)

Thx for replies, i guess what bothers me is the pixelation during movement, stand still looks good to me. I may not be able to get rid of that because of my 4.2 upload, but it is kind of odd that i notice zero difference between 3500 and 3850 bitrate.

And yes i tried going to "faster" preset and noticed no stream quality difference, but oddly my in game experience got worse (FPS didnt change, but game felt choppy). CPU usage never goes above 40% even on faster preset.

Would buying a 120hz monitor make for a better looking stream? Thinking of picking one up for the holidays. (and if i did, would i just keep vsync turned off completely?)

I don't think that your monitor has any impact on how stream looks. Maybe try playing with the 'Quality' setting, or use crf='something' in x264 commnd-line options. Pixelated stream afaik can occur when crf is set too high. Note that it's scale is logarythmic and highher values mean worse quality.

pixellation during movement is usually a result of the quality balance setting. Don't be afraid to lower it or play around with other settings.
