Question / Help Hearing an Echo in Live Streaming

Hi all,

I watch my streams on twitch whilst I'm streaming, but have it on mute.

I have just recently tried viewing my live stream from my other laptop, and the audio and video are in sync, however I hear an echo around 20 seconds after I have actually said it.

I have no idea what to do. I have my microphone turned off and only use the desktop audio as this does the job in terms of quality, just need to get rid of the echo.

Thanks.

Can you post a link to that vod? Usually echos happens when you are watching your own stream without muting it (while still streaming), other than that ... ?!?!

The sound of the cast goes to the stream feed and the audience hears it.
In addition, your microphone is picking up the sound in your location and sending it also.
Wearing a head set or having a microphone that ignores background sound will do the trick.
You can also mute your microphone in obs.
