Question / Help Headset Audio Noise Issue

Hi all,

Second question of the day, I've only just noticed that there's this horrible background noise whenever i'm not speaking into my headset, my environment is silent and there is no fast flowing air going through so I'm not sure as to why it sounds like there is static in my voice audio.

It's a relatively cheap EasyAcc headset and it has no foam filter thing on the mic arm end, could that be it or is it just too crap for good stream audio?

Noise can come from any open recording device sources.

One thing to look for is to make sure you have your webcam mic muted. I always do that when I setup my scenes because its useless to use it if you use your headphones or you have another mic source hooked up.

I only have my headset hooked up as an input source because I don't have a webcam

These are my audio output and inputs, have i done something wrong here?

You shouldn't have to setup audio input and outputs. Get rid of those.

Right click on the volume icon in the lower tray in Windows near the date/time.
Click on the Recording tab and set the default device to the headset mic. For the Playback, set the default device to your headset.

To hear specific audio tracks on your headset, click the wheel next to the words "Mixer" to open up Advanced Audio Properties.
Fiddle with the Audio monitoring drop downs for each audio source

Monitor = listen on headset
Output = capture audio when recording/streaming
Mute Output = don't store audio for this track to stream/recording

Alright I got rid of those sources. My headset is set as the playback device and recording device but the static noise is still there, i'm assuming it's down to the headset quality. It doesn't sound too awful, it'll work for now, thank you for your help.
