Question / Help HDMI input to picture-in-picture

We are using OBS on a Dell laptop with Windows 10. We have a PTZ camera and things are working great. We have another computer that generates slides which go through a device that sends the HDMI output showing the slides to several TVs. We would like to somehow get this picture into the picture-in-picture window in OBS.

Can anyone recommend the best way to get this HDMI signal into the computer running OBS so that it can be used as an input to the program?

Should we find a box that inputs HDMI and puts it on the LAN at a fixed IP address so that we can grab it from there? I imagine that there are several different ways to do this.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks! -bg

You could use a video capture card on the hdmi output and use a video capture device source to in port to OBS
Or put the slides in the computer with OBS and use a slide show source
Or install the program that that generates the slides on to the same computer with OBS and use a window/game capture source
their may be limitations to any of the ideas listed here depending on equipment you have.

Ordered a Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2. Hopefully, that will do it. The key words for me in your posting were "video capture". Got me going down the right road... Thanks very much! -bg
