Good afternoon everyone, great to be using OBS and be part of a fantastic community. Can i ask for some advice/recommendations.

Wanting to link some external HDMI cameras in to OBS Studio (running on a PC) via USB, was going to use Elgato Cam Links, but cant get them anywhere. Can anyone recommend a similar reasonable quality product that is available currently.

Also want to bring in 4 Microphone inputs via USB so looking for an audio interface, there are so many and dont know where to start, can anyone suggest make/models that work well with OBS Studio.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Gary

All three of those are solid, but DO be aware that you may run into bandwidth limitations on the USB bus, even on USB 3.0, if you have a large number of cameras. An internal card would be recommended (such as the Magewell 2 or 4-port HDMI Pro Capture) if possible. If you go with external USB units, plan to buy at least one USB expansion PCIe card. 1080p video takes a LOT of bandwidth.

If you don't need simultaneous access to all the cameras, you can also consider something like a Blackmagic ATEM Mini, which is an HDMI switcher and capture device in one.

That ATEM mini looks sweet :)
