Question / Help HD60 Dropping Frames When Game Fades?

It's an underlying problem in the architecture of the elgato external devices (and ALL usb 2.0 devices that claim to capture high definition video).

Two things:

  1. Please post a log from OBS from a stream with the issue present.
  2. Please download and run the Elgato Windows Reporter. its a small tool that will collect logs from the elgato software, OBS and more, and place them in a zip file. Please private message me that zip file. I'll pass this on to our QA to take a look.
This is an ongoing issue that we're investigating.

Not at all.

This seems to be a WiiU specific issue. It has something to do with how the WiiU, or the HD60 handles the black screens, as if there is a brief signal disconnect.

I've attached the log file from a stream I did today. I've also sent you a PM containing the ZIP file.

Update: A fix for this is currently being evaluated by our QA team and if it passes, will come out as an update to the Game Capture software.

:)

Thank you so much for your help! I greatly appreciate your kindness, and spending your time helping :D Sorry it took so long to reply I haven't been able to check this post recently.

I had a similar issue with the hd60 with the xbox one when playing AW, anytime it went to the black loading screens between matches i would get a brief high encoding warning. That was the only time I ever encountered it tho
