Question / Help HD Pvr Rocket and Hauppauge Capture in OBS Studio

So... I used to be able to use window capture on the Hauppauge Capture software and the video and sound would be great. I updated to 17.0 and it captures the window but the video from the game does not show up or render. I tried the video capture device option and the video comes through but there is no game audio. I uninstalled OBS Studio 17.0 and went back a couple of updates with no change in the window capture situation. I am going to try to go back one more update but not sure if this is the problem... If there is a fix for the Pvr Rocket and the video capture device situation I am open to that as well.

Tried OBS Studio on my girlfriends computer running windows 10 and the window capture and hauppauge capture work fine. I am confused because my computer is the more powerful...would hauppauge capture be coded to block OBS Studio?

Nope the Hauppauge Capture is also the same version as one on girlfriend's computer, I can't find a difference between the two instances other than operating system!!! I ran OBS Studio as Admin, I made sure it was running the 64 bit version. I would post my girlfriends logs also if that would help someone else diagnose or learn from what I am trying to do, will do tomorrow...

Have you found the solution? I cannot capture the video and audio from HDPVR Rocket on my windows 10 PC with OBS 18.0.1, I want to live broadcasting my satellite channel to my friends(Sling Player only supports one connection at the time), Currently what I did is using sling player on my pc with full screen and use OBS capture the display and send to my RTMP server(VPS) and using JWPlayer to play it in a webpage, flash is required, it works this way but not perfect, I'd like to use OBS to recognize the Rocket and streaming it direct to RTMP server.

Any suggestion? Please advise,thanks.

My question is if HD PVR Rocket isn't supported anymore, what is the best choice on the market now? Please provide brand and model #, thanks.

Your log shows window capture, not anything about a capture card. Can you please provide a log that shows the issues?

Looks like the OBS 20.0.1 is supporting HD PVR Rocket now, I just upgraded this morning and tested with my android media player, I can use video capture device to see the picture from the box, will do more test after work. I think that I could live streaming EPL games from my satellite box to my VPS and my friends can watch it. Before I could only share to one friend via sling box.
