Question / Help HD Pro Webcam C920 not working on OBS Studio

Hi,

I'm just wondering if someone might be able to offer some assistance, perhaps you encountered this in the past. I've got a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920. I originally tried it on OBS Studio and it wouldn't work so I reinstalled the webcam drivers. Unfortunately that did not fix the problem.

When I go to Video Capture Device and choose HD Pro Webcam C920 the camera simply won't load. I've tried to manually set a specific resolution / FPS but it still doesn't work, it just displays a black screen. After playing around with the settings for the camera in OBS, it usually crashes.

When I attempt to add my camera in the regular OBS software, it works without any problems but I'd prefer to use Studio due to the additional features.

Any ideas?

It has a webcam blocker that would need to be disabled or have OBS studio added to its whitelist.
