Hey there, recently ive decided to get into streaming stuff like that, picked up this program getting amazed by it, but i have some problems, and since i've never streamed before these problems might be really normal and easily fixable, soo there it is:
My internet connection speed: 100/10 Mbps
PC specs:
CPU i5-4670K 3.4GHz - 4.01GHz
RAM 16GB DDR3
GPU: GTX 780 3gb
1. Stream occasionally lags, at least when iam trying to watch it through dashboard in twitch.
Stream goes very well for some time, and then every minute or so it lags BADLY for about 5-10 seconds, and then works well again for some time... i have no idea what could be the problem.
Encoding settings are quality balance 9 or CBR, and bitrate is at 3100 ( heard with 10Mbps upload i can go freely even higher..)
Video settings: 19820x1080 downscaled to 1280x720 with Bilinear filter and 60 fps and disabled aero. ( I've heard there is no point streaming in 1080p unless iam partnered with twitch soo should be fine this way ? )
2. When using Elgato Game Capture, i use preview stream function, or start streaming. Then i stop and try to run it again, but it says now The device is in use by another application. And i see another OBS running in taskbar that takes about 20-30k of memory and i CANT end the process by any way, only thing that helps is disconecting elgato from usb or restarting computer, gets really annoying :/
3. Quality isnt that good with elgato, is it fine i cant read icon text on desktop ? ( maybe it is never streamed before :D also its not really 1080p so thats the case maybe as well ? )
Gets a bit better when streaming with monitor capture as source using PC bypassing elgato, but i dont think its that better on twitch...
4. When i was playing a game, turned my camera / moved and stream got extremely blurry pixelated unwatchable until it stabilized again, i solved it pretty much with increasing bitrate to 3100+ , but there might be another cause / fix ? Although seems fine with the higher bitrate..
Thats all that comes up on my mind, hopefully we'll get it to fix it, especially the "The device is in use by another application." problem after first use, its super annoying :/
Thx
