Question / Help Having issues with OBS and dual monitors

I just installed the internal elgato hd60 pro and got rid of the external hd60 I had. I have dual monitors and an hdmi switch. I haven't changed how anything was plugged in from the hd60. The second monitor is what I use for my games and the first is where I have my obs, etc. My second monitor is connected to the switch and it works fine with obs but when I switch to my ps4 showing on the second monitor then everything that I had pulled up on my first monitor goes away. It stays open so I assume that it got dragged to the second monitor below my ps4 display. How do I set it so that when I switch displays everything that' s on my first monitor stays? Thanks in advance.

That isn't something OBS can fix. It's a Windows thing; when you switch the display, Windows sees the display get disconnected/reconnected and moves everything over to the other desktop as your GPU reorders the displays.

You'll need a switch that stores the EDID handshake and does its own internal negotiation for switching. Alternately you can get an EDID spoofer and hook it up between your GPU and the HDMI switch so the GPU never sees the monitor disconnect when the switch is swapping sources. I use a Gefen HDMI Detective, they run around $60.
