Question / Help Having Issues setting up a stream

I'm trying to start a live playthrough of Might and Magic VI (6, if you don't know Roman Numerals) and the only way I could get the video to be captured is to do 'Monitor Capture' which it has the desktop at full screen on the video, but when I go into the game the screen shrinks to a small portion of the video screen in the upper left-hand corner. I've been trying to fix it, but I haven't the slightest clue how.

If you want a visual to help understand what I'm saying, just go to my latest 'Past Broadcasts' on my Twitch account, it'll all be from today (if for any reason these forums are slow, the day is 7/28/2013 Or July 28th)

I can imagine why Monitor Capture would be the most immediate way to stream it; I'd imagine M&M 6 not having a windowed mode. ;)

However, what are your PCs specs like? Because I'd like to offer an alternative -- Run a Virtual Machine (running Windows XP), inside of a Window. And inside of that Virtual Windows XP, run M&M 6 as normal. And simply capture the Virtual XP in OBS (with Window Capture and Aero Enabled).

To be honest, I don't really remember how to check the specs =P
I'm a little ashamed to admit that as much of a gamer I am, I know next to nothing about computers.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure your right that M&M6 doesn't have a windowed mode. And that alternative sounds pretty good. But I know my Laptop runs Windows 7, so idk if it'd be able to work or not.

Errrrh... the Windows version has very little to do with it; I was running VMs just fine on Windows XP. :P Anyhow... could you post a recent log of OBS? Amongst other things, it does list your PCs specifications. ;)

Sweet, thank you. It says I need to set the desktop to 16bit in order to switch back and forth (as shown in attachment)

Woohoo, I can do what I wanted to do now =)
