Question / Help Having Frames missed due to rendering lag

rendering lag = GPU overload
Reduce GPU load by limiting your ingame FPS (which can be done via ingame settings or by enabling vsync or by installing MSI Afterburner and using RTSS to limit FPS).

apparently I noticed I have 8 gb of ram and not 16 gb. Most people I've talk to recommend 16gb. So would that also cause issue of rending lag? I've noticed it more before streaming.

There is no stream/recording attempt in that log.
50-60% rendering lag = GPU overload
Maybe you forgot to limit your ingame fps to 60

the high GPU load has nothing to do with RAM.
Limit your fps while gaming.

Hey, I have an GTX MSI AERO 1080 8G, and I have the same problem with some games, I have a 144Hz monitor, but I turn it to 75Hz for not overload my GPU, I'm encoding wih the Intel graphics card on my I7 7700k, for not oevrlaod my CPU.

But with Assassin's Creed Unity for exemple I'm playing at 60fps but I still have Frames missed due to rendering lag...

I was thinking about to plug my old graphic card (750ti), and connect the 2 other monitors (for chat and obs), this can resolve the problem ?

Thanks !

Are you sure, you are rendering with your Intel iGPU? Sounds more like you are encoding with it (quicksync) which won't give you any real benefit.

Oh, I'm encoding with "QSV material" in OBS but this dosen't use the IGPU ? I followed a tutorial for this, and it's seem OBS use it, so I don't understand...
How can I do ?

Your i7 7700k should be fine for x264 encoding.
What encoding settings are you using?
I'm encoding with the "veryfast" preset I think because I use the "simple" mode.
And I wanted to show you this in the attach files...
This is when I launch OBS Studio, GPU 1 is my 1080, and GPU 2 my 750ti where is my 2 others monitors, OBS use both of them sometimes, and use 30% of the 1080, and 50% of the 750Ti sometimes, I don't understand what is happening here.
When I play a game or sometimes values return to normal... I really don't understand.

Create your own thread instead of tacking on a thread from November 2017. In the thread you create, post an OBS log file from a 5 minute or longer attempt using the best settings you've managed to figure out on your own.

I don't see an actual stream or recording attempt in that log file. Where's the thread you made?
