Question / Help Having bad connections to Twitch Servers

Hi guys,

I have been streaming off and on to Twitch for a few years now. Nothing big, just something fun to do. Up until Wednesday night, I have been having 0 issues with OBS or Twitch. In fact, I got great internet and I can stream at 3500 Buffer and Bit with 60 frames per sec.

However, on Wednesday night, I lost service and it took me 20 minutes and a phone call to my service provider to get it up and running again. Now I got issues connecting to Twitch. I have changed nothing on my settings. I have called the service provider again and everything looks fine. I even exchanged the modem for a new one, thinking it was my equipment. However, nothing has worked. I am experiencing dropped frames, the color indicator starts off green, then yellow, to red and my uploaded kb/s is all over the place and then 0.

My download speed is exactly what it should be, I can watch Twitch stream at source settings.

I have changed my servers in OBS to all the US servers with no avail. I am at a complete lose with this. I have no idea what it is. Below is my Twitch Bandwidth Test, 2-speed tests, and attached log file. The ran for about 5 minutes on the Chicago server since it is closest to me.

Slower preset in use

You have changed the default preset to llhq. Using slower presets can result in late frames and high CPU usage / low FPS. You should only change the preset if you are sure you have the CPU power to spare.

Yep, your connection is having MAJOR problems talking to the ingest servers.

Also, don't use NVENC for streaming (as your log indicates is the case). It's extremely poor quality compared to x264 at the same bitrate, and you have an i7. Likewise, 3500kbps is going to cause massive viewer buffering unless you're Partnered. Non-partnered streams should not exceed 2000kbps, even if your connection can handle more.

Which it can't, at present. Your ISP has monkeyed something up tremendously.

I do not have any knowledge of this kind of thing? Could this be an equipment issue? I did replace the modem, but the router is a Net Gear R6400. I actually have that hooked up the modem and the ethernet cable to my computer is hooked into the router. I am able to still have WiFi. I am able to access Netflix and my Amazon accounts and stream video just fine on my TV.

I guess I am going to have to give them a call to see if they can come out and look at the setup. However, I talked with yesterday over the phone and the signal they were getting from the modem was fine. I am not sure what they can do.
