Bug Report Having an issue with Game Capture

So, fairly new to streaming here, just downloaded OBS and have started setting it up. I have been trying to get Game Capture to work but it only shows the game some of the time. Usually, its just a black screen, audio still works fine but the video isn't showing up. Sometimes, it will capture the game for a while, and then the stream just locks up (atleast on preview it does. I cannot figure out what is going wrong or what's happening to cause this. Any help?

Does it happen with one game or with all games? Do you use any overlays, such as Steam, Teamspeak, Mumble? Gamecapture won't work with them. Also make sure no other injectors are in, for example Dxtory, graphic mods.

I've only tried streaming Knights of the Old Republic so far. I have steam and that's how I play KOTOR. Is that what's causing the issue?

Maybe. Are you using the Steam's overlay? Afaik it's some kind of friend sinfo or something displayed with alt and something. If so, try disabling it in steam options and see if it helps.
