Have to create new video capture device EVERY time opening obs

I'm currently experiencing an issue where each time I open OBS, it's forgotten the video capture device source I've added previously and I have to add it again.

The source is a Canon M50 (UK) camera.

The source used previously is still visible, but it's just a black screen. I have to re-add it as a new source each time to get it to work, then add all of the filters and re size it. This is becoming a little arduous.

I've experienced this issue prior to and since the most recent update. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong, but I couldn't locate any other users that have experienced this problem to help me fix it.

Any help appreciated.

Just an idea for a workaround: deactivate the cam and activate it again. Works for me if my capture card doesn't show any image. So you have not to add everything again.
