hey i have a a question about obs can the hauppauge hd pvr 2 work with obs i cant seem to get it working

Nope. They do weird stuff on the back end, so the only way to use it is to capture the preview window of the Hauppage software at present. It's on the to-do list for the Studio rewrite though.
