Look, I've been scavenging throughout the internet to get my obs recording settings to work properly. I have a windows 10 with a decent cpu and I have tried to use x264 to record. It won't cooperate. So I decided to use the NVENC (new) to record.
For some reason, NVIDIA NVENC (new) doesn't work for me. When I record it that way there is ZERO lag during gameplay but when I check the video there is literally 1 frame per 20 seconds I have NO idea how why and what to do. Please help.

I have a decent computer but I can't use it to the fullest potential please help!

I'll take a wild guess.

Are you recording at more than >60FPS?

No I am recording exactly at 60 FPs. I tried lowering to 30 Fps but that didn't change anything. Also, no frames were skipped during any of my recording but when I play it back there's literally like 1 frame per 20 seconds. So unbearable

I've been saving to flv for months now and my recording quality literally has no difference whether its mp4 or flv. Both outputs make my recording look like crap. I think the problem is recording with x264 which relies on your cpu. Unfortunately, Minecraft Java also hogs your cpu. That's why I'm trying out NVENC but it ain't working.

In the older version of Obs you could obtain the log file easily but not in the latest version. I think I need help with getting my log file first lol.
*Also, what does the log file even do? Does it tell you what frame you skip or something? (Yes I'm new to this, I'm retarded).

Okay I got the log file! And the problem that I am having is recording with Hardware (NVENC) new. While I'm playing Minecraft, the game doesn't lag at all, maybe a few stutters here and there. The problem is the recording itself. When I play it back I'm barely getting any frames per second. The audio is in sync but on the screen my player is moving every 20 seconds! Absolutely infuriating! Any help is appreciated. God Bless.

Also, the reason why NVENC not working for you may stem from the fact that it relies on your gpu and your gpu isn't prioritized or not "strong" so to speak. I have no problem with local recording with Nvenc
