Hello all,
I have been doing some testing and with my NVIDIA T400 and P620 also the 1030 video card. When hardware decoding is enabled and x264 encoding for streaming is active I get lots of tearing in the decoded video. On the T400 and P620 when I use hardware encoding it doesn't tear the video. But when x264 encoding is used it tears the bottom of the screen.
I am thinking if I can get hardware decoding to work that is less stress on the CPU as it's moved to the GPU.
Thoughts? Is it a timing issue between the CPU/GPU causing it to tear?
Thanks,
Mike
