Halloween Projector

Just wanted to say, fantastic software, however I'm reaching the limit of my capabilities in attempting to figure this out, so I was hoping someone could kindly help?

So, this is the concept, using a laptop with a plugin webcam and a green screen, I key out the green background from the webcam video, which I've done. Then I play a Halloween themed video, which has worked. The laptop is then connected to a projector, which then projects whoever stands in front of the webcam via the projector. All of this works.

The issue I'm having is with the sound, I'd like for people to speak on webcam and the audio to play through the projector but not the laptop as it creates a feedback loop of the audio (endless echo). If I mute the audio on the laptop, it mutes the audio on the projector. The projector will be a considerable distance away, so there's no feedback from it, is there a way to have audio from the webcam and Halloween video play through the projector without it playing audio on the laptop?

Any help greatly appreciated as this setup is going to be used for a free community event.

im no sound engineer so shoot me down if i am way off.
my understanding is the input audio (microphone) needs to be set behind the output audio and direction of sound (speakers)

my only thinking of solution would be to have seperate speakers forward placed and pointing away from the webcam input audio
and or a seperate microphone

but like i said im no expert
this would be trial and error if i was to attempt it

You sir, get ten points to gryffindor. That's a brilliant workaround, you've made about 200-300 people happy here.
