I have been using OBS for over a year using the h264/AVC encoder @ 1080p60fps with absolutely no issues that entire time. Today I start to record and I'm dropping MASSIVE frames. It seems like it starts out for the first 1 or 2 seconds OK, but then it progressively gets worse. I have Intel i7-5820 @ 3.30 GHz with 8gb of RAM and 8gb RX480 GPU. Everything has always worked just fine. I changed no settings in OBS and just seemingly out of the blue this started happening. I have uninstalled and re-installed up to date AMD graphics drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled OBS but it fixes nothing. The only thing I have been able to do to fix this using this encoder is to go down to a 1280x720 output (scaled resolution).
I can use the x264 encoder at 1080p60fps at the 1080p output (scaled) resolution without any issues but the quality is noticeably lower in my opinion.
I can post all my OBS settings as well, but considering all the local troubleshooting that I have done, which is basically changing every single setting one by one and testing, none of the settings change ANYTHING unless I use the x264 encoder or change my scaled output resolution to 720p using the AMD encoder.
