Question / Help [H1Z1] OBS STUDIO Stream FPS drop

Hey everybody,

I really need your help today, I have been struggling for days now to find a way to fix my problem, let me explain:

I recently decided to start streaming some H1Z1 as I really enjoy this game with my friends, I have literally no problems streaming any other game (LoL, CS:GO..) but when it comes to H1Z1 for some reasons the stream drops fps a lot, not laggy at all, and no problem on my computer while I'm playing, everything for me is fine.

My PC specs: Nvidia geforce GTX 1070, i5 6600k, 16 go memory, OBS and games on SSD.
My upload speed is 60 mb

I use 2500 bitrate, CBR for constant bitrate, my output resolution is down scaled to 720p, I tried both 30 and 60 fps, audio bitrate 192, veryfast CPU, Keyframe int 2, Lanczos, etc (I know what all these settings mean I didn't set my obs randomly I learned how to do it)

It really works well for any game, I have good quality results and nobody complains.

But the problem is on H1Z1 and only H1Z1, when I stand still and don't move there is no frame drop, even in the queue for a match or in the main menu everything is good, but when I start moving in game and start shooting, running, or driving there is a massive FPS drop and the stream is really shitty, but in game I don't see any fps drop I can still play perfectly fine, my CPU GPU and memory are totally fine when I check in the task manager..

Also when I stream my H1Z1 to my steam friends through steam spectate mode, they can see me in 1080p without any problem, no fps drop nothing, so it must have something to do with OBS I'm sure but I have no idea what it is.

I've tried to change every settings (bitrate, cpu, resolution) I even have my H1Z1 settings to very low and the render distance very low too, pixel quality low and switched my game to full screen windowed, I mean everything should be fine..

Also I tried both window capture and game capture (which is recommanded for games) with anti cheat hooker checked for H1Z1 to avoid black screen.

I searched for days on youtube, google for help but can't find anything recent to fix my problem, I even asked some streamers on twitch who have their H1Z1 stream working perfect (not famous streamers), they told me they didnt change anything in OBS and left defaults settings, they didnt even know what a bitrate is... and yet there stream wasnt dropping fps like mine, I even had better PC specs than them and my upload speed I believe is not the problem.

Please I really need good help for someone that know what could cause this problem, I really want to stream H1Z1.

hi,

maybe you should try Nvenc instead of x264? In task manager , how much CPU% do you have ? 80%,90%100%?
