Gurling distortion to Sound on YouTube but OBS monitor sound is fine

I have a frustrating issue that doesn't always occur but it did this morning (again).
Whilst Live Streaming Mass to YouTube - everything is fine until just after this point https://youtu.be/YY1Oc_7FIB0?t=1443
Every time I swith scene to the Canon GX video camera connected to the Elgato CamLink the sound is distorted to a 'gurgling' effect.
It was fine for the first 20 minutes of streaming and then from this point onwards EVERY time I switch to the GX Camera it distorts all the way to the end of the stream.

What's doubly frustrating is the sound I am monitoring live from OBS is fine - it only happens on the live stream and the only way I even know it is happening is when I listen to the actual YourTube live stream a few seconds later.

Anyway, in the log file at the point this distortion begins I see this:
11:21:59.246: Max audio buffering reached!
11:21:59.246: adding 85 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 960 milliseconds (source: GX10 Camera)
11:21:59.246:

Now the audio source is not the GX10 but the default microphone input (via a t.bone wireless receiver from the amplifier)
So I wonder would disabling the Elgato Camlink device in Sound Settings / Microphone stop this happening?
