On my streams, when my friends talk, their voice echos as if they are talking inside of a PVC pipe. My voice is perfectly fine (Other than the fuzz noise from my microphone, but that is easy to ignore.) It's just anyone who I am talking to in the CURSE Chat service. It's less noticable for the gameplay sounds, but it's still coming through for the game too, and is less annoying for people to watch.
