Hi Guys,

I'm having some problems "since" upgrading to GTX 980ti from GTX 770 with OBS.

Streaming @ 3,000kbs/30frames @ 720p downscaled with game capture primarily.

CPU: Gen 2 i7 2600k OC to 4.5Ghz @ 1.32v - Water-cooled good temps less than 50c degrees on full load.
RAM: 32GB(x4 16GB) @ 1600hz
GPU: GTX 980ti 6GB Gigabyte G1 Edition
PSU: Corsair RM850

Few notes about this logfile before giving feedback;
  • Ive always had Aero DISABLED in windows
  • Ive always used this preset, but I have tried the veryfast default preset too and get same results.
  • I do have monitor capture, as sometimes I like to stream what I'm doing on my primary screen.
All the other things, I dont know how to fix, I use GTX980ti card to display to my primary screen for gaming @ 144hz and also use to display a second screen, I use a GTX 650 as a secondary card to display to 3 other screens. Previously I've had the GTX 770 in the GTX 980ti's place but this problem I'm having didn't exist then.

It seems that when I am streaming, I get low FPS in CS:GO that sometimes drops all the way to 100fps and doesn't exceed 180fps. When I am not streaming, I'll easily get 300-400fps. My issue is that with my previous GTX 770 I was getting about 200-250fps when streaming, and about 250-300fps when I wasen't streaming and now it looks like im getting worse results?

Could this be a CPU Issue? I'm using a Gen 2 i7 2600k OC at 4.5Ghz@1.32v on water, core temps are less than 50c degrees when full load and 25-35c degrees when idle. Ram is also running at an above supported speed 32gb @ 1600hz HyperX Ravage but I'm dobtful any of these elements are the causing an issue as Prime95 and Memtest86 have been ran to test stability of OC and I get straight 24hr blend tests giving nil errors.

I used to also use Windows Border-less mode in CSGO when I was on GTX 770 and didnt feel any if little difference when using engine_no_focus_sleep "0" options in CSGO but since having issues with the GTX 980ti I've tried fullscreen given everyone says thats the best and reset CSGO config to default and started again.

The only other things are left is a full video card driver removal, and reinstall? OBS scene recreation from scratch or a full system rebuild, trying to avoid these options...

At the moment to get away from this issue, I'm using a capture card in the PC next to me, which is an Gen4 i5 4XXX series something which does the job, but I want to be able to stream from 1 PC again as with this config I cant stream when my partner is up playing with CSGO with me.

First thing, I would remove the monitor capture from your main scene and put it in a different scene, that will help. keep scenes as clean as possible with items that aren't displayed. Windows 7 is horrible with mixed monitor and game captures. That aero disabled...then I would test and if that doesn't seem to help, enable aero which works best for game capture in most cases.

Last idea would be an uninstall with DDU in safemode then restart and update drivers.
