There was xrid in macs sometime ago, but since 10.8 it was deleted. Apple gave alternatives such as:
Suggestion: make obs cluster ready and spread processor intensive tasks across multiple Macs
This can save money and time for those who has more than 1 mac and has to buy a capture card
p.s. I understand that there are more things to do and implement into obs. This is more for discussion how it is important, how it can improve the quality, do we really need it on release etc
