After using OBS for a while now, several bugs have revealed themselves to me and I have written a few complaints.
I do want to be fair. When I find something that works really well, I want to herald that also.
At first we were using Web Cams and the white balance would fluctuate all the time wreaking havoc with our green screen attempts. Since that time, we have integrated a Panasonic ENG Broadcast Camera with an SDI SD output into a Blackmagic Decklink 4K Extreme Capture Card and then into OBS. Now the clarity and color is incredible. We painted a 10'x20' section of our wall with Industry Standard Disney Chroma Key Green paint. Before our live show, I do a Black and White Balance. Since the white balance is locked-in at 32k, the minute we fire up OBS the Key is instant with no noise. Great Job!!!
Next, the output of our camera is SDI SD and we shoot wide screen 16x9, but the camera only outputs 4x3 and it comes out squished. Thankfully OBS has a transform function that will "Stretch to Fit" and it fills the screen with a perfect image. Great Job!!!
