Hello,
I have a nvidia geforce gt 740m graphics card in my laptop, and was wondering if I could stream with this? I have been having trouble for the last few days and believe I may need a gtx to be able to steam. Can anyone confirm this suspicion, or give any tips on how to get the stream to work?
Thanks!

1. Lower your webcam resolution to something more reasonable. Say 640x360 if it's not fullscreen and 960x540 if it is fullscreen.
2. You can use your current GPU, but make sure you're running the latest drivers for BOTH the intel and NVidia.
3. You can stream with a 740m, but you might have to turn down the settings in the game. Lower each area listed berow by 1 or 2 levels and test, until you find a good performance level:

Textures->Geometry->Shaders->Resolution

So for example if you're playing LoL, then the first thing you'll want to turn down is the texture quality from High to Medium. If that doesn't clear it up, then lower the Geometry from High to Medium. If THAT doesn't clear it up, then try lowering the postfx/shaders, and then the game resolution.

Also make sure that your GPU isn't overheating. If it does it'll downclock itself, making you lose performance suddenly and "randomly".
