Question / Help GPU dedicated to encoding

Okay so, i'm looking at transferring over to obs from xsplit. Because one of my friends told me if I had two graphics cards in my computer I could make one of them a dedicated to encoding, I was wondering how I would go about that, my specs are:

AMD FX-6300 @ 4.1Ghz
14Gb DDR3 Ram
GTX 1050 TI 4GB
GTX 580 1.5GB

I'm hoping for 720p at 30fps, because that's what I was getting with xsplit, any help is appreciated

If you want to cripple the performance of your primary video card sure. In your setup you would gain precisely nothing by trying that. The GTX 580 does not support any hardware encoders. Physically remove it from the system.
