Hi There,

first of all, This is not a problem of OBS. Nevertheless, I hope anyone can help me here.

I have an 2 PC Setup for Streaming.

Gaming PC:
AMD FX-8320 @ Stock
8GB Ram
PowerColor Radeon r9 280x. Unfortunately with Coil Whine. Since I always play with my headset on, it does not bother me.
AverMedia ExtremeCap U3 CaptureCard
OnBoard Realtek Soundcard

Settings on this Machine:
StereoMix listen to my USB Headset.
AverMedia Card is listen to my Microfon on my USB Headset.
Line Out go to Line In on the Streaming PC

Streaming PC:
i7 4770 (not K)
8GB Ram
Geforce GT610 (unimportant)
OnBoard Realtek Soundcard

Settings on this Machine:
Gamingsound comes from the GamingPC´s Line Out. I used a RCA to 3.5mm Adapter and an RCA to 3.5mm whire to connect the GamingPC to the StreamingPC. Unfortunately I only had this option to connect the PC´s.

My Mic comes from the ExtremeCap U3. I activate the "Output Sound to Stream Only" in the Device Selection of the Capturecard in OBS.

The Problem is, you can hear the Coil Whine on the stream or on Recordings. Not on my Headset on the GamingPC.
If i play Games with Backroundmusic, it is not a big problem. Today i start playing Alien: Isolation. I dont wanna hear Music on that Game. At this point I realized the squeaking is not to bear as an Listener.

I Uploaded a short Video on YT as an example. From the point where I'm standing in front of the phone you can hear it well.

I've changed the cable from GamingPC to the StreamingPC. This already reduce the noise slightly.
Ive tryed to disable the Mic through the CaptureCard. No Change.

Anyone has another Ideas to Fix that Problem?
Could i fix it with an HQ PCI Soundcard, or an High Quality 3.5mm Cable?

Sorry for my bad English, It's been a long long time ago :)

I had a similar issue as you with realtek onboard audio & avermedia c875. From what I understood it was caused by poor grounding. Option 1 would be to get an external audio card (if it's caused by your mobo), option 2 would be to buy a ground loop isolator (if the the noise is being generated by the Extremecap U3, and not the pc itself).

This is the filter i bought that worked with the c875.

Thx for the reply. i think i will try this filter.

Today i notice another Problem. Its my voice over OBS. My voice is a little higher than normal and stucks a bit.

Here two examples.

1: Over OBS. The Mic is routet through the avermedia card. my voice is higher than normal Oo

2: Over my headset without any routing directly on my pc where it is connected.

I have no sync´s for the Mic activated. Is there an option that I have overlooked?

Thx for the Help!

Ok guys. I fixed booth Problems. After i Buy this guy here

95% of the noise is gone. I can live with the last 5%. Thanks to achmetha!

Ive rebuild my Setup, thats because Ive Buy an rca isolator. Now, my gaming Sound goes from line out to an external audiomixer with an hq Mikrophon. From this external Mixer from line out to my streaming PC. I use my headset for teamspeak, and the hq mic on the external Mixer for the Stream. Works great.

Thx for the help.

The Problem with the higher voice causes from a driver issue. Ive reinstalled my Windows and the Problem was gone :)

Indeed bro, indeed. but i have rebuild again, because: my hq mic is taking the datapackages from my router *grmpf!!!*. thats the last 5% of the noise ive been speaking. It got worse and worse. no chance to gain all the inputs to a small noise, which is fade by all the sounds. totally crazy. you solve one problem and another one is there *g*

BUT: ive rebuild back to my old setup an has plug the isolator between the two pc´s. very simple and straightforward.
and, guess what? absolute no more noise. I thank you again for your help.

I finally got it the way I wanted it. I'm out :)
