so i've been recording stuff on OBS, yes, on a laptop with two graphics adaptors. I ran Windows 11 before this issue happened.
Then i reinstalled Windows 10 (21H2). However the OBS installation is still in the D: drive, installed via Steam store. I only wiped the C: one and started building up from scratch, and this is when things start to look dodgy.
Everything is just black. I followed a tutorial on YouTube but it only fixed the desktop capture (by making OBS run on Intel graphics). I don't feel like having to manually switch the Windows graphics settings for OBS to use NVIDIA card when I want to capture a specific game, or Intel one to capture normal apps. Tried changing capture method from Windows 10 to Bitblt but it only shows a frozen screen with a window and OBS window laying on top. Even my webcam is black too(?). And ditto, I've never expected a single problem when I used Windows 11. I was reckoning this Windows 10 copy could be the culprit, but still not too sure about it.
I've read the troubleshooting guide, as well as pinned posts, but nothing in the tunnel could be more lit.
Can anyone help me? Desktop capture might be just fine enough, but I want window capture and webcam back.
