Question / Help Google Hangout Sound Issues

Hey,

Im new to OBS and broadcasting in general and when broadcasting as a single person the audio is fine, when I bring in another person via Google Hangout their mic is muffled to viewers. Im running Virtual Audio Cable as well. We want to have music but until I get the muffled sound out of the way I cant move past this.

My settings on OBS are as such:

Desktop device: 3rd party speakers
Microphone: Mic from my logitech webcam (we also tried a headset mic and a separate mic, no luck)

Desktop boost: 9
Mic/Aux Boost: 8

Any help would be awesome. I have two shows a week online and it would be preferred if I could be the broadcaster due to my computers strengths.

I feel like something must be wrong if you have to use that much boost. Unfortunately it's a bit difficult for me to really be able to help troubleshoot the issue if you're using VAC because I still don't know enough about it.

Regardless, if the sound comes out muffled then it really shouldn't be caused by OBS itself just because it does not actually modify the sound it reads.
