Hi guys, i live brazil.... and in my city im limited by upload because no have fiber here. ( i had 60 mb down and 3mb upload )

In this case, I release for OBS 2.5 mb (bitrate2500) (video+ audio)
However, I do not know what would be the best configuration...

I'm using the preset fast but still feel it is not a very good quality.
Can anyone help me with that? Which setting to use?

without even seeing a log i can already say that your pc, if you are not using a dedicated streaming pc, isnt able to stream 1080p30 on fast preset

i would recommend streaming 720p30 with 3k bitrate on default preset (veryfast) no matter what i would still recommend you posting your log so we can see whats going on

1080p30 needs at least a 3k bitrate to look somewhat good if your game has some sort of fullscreen motion everything else will start artifacting and blocking

why you say im isnt able to stream 1080p@30fps with fast preset?
Today i stream like this, but without 3000bitrate... i use 2400 bitrate because i had only 3mb upload...
But quality is not good... you guys thinks because this ?

my config is 4770k @ 16gb 1866ghz corsair dominator platinum @ HD 7970.

What log you need to determinate this for me ?

In order for a 1080p stream to look good you'll need a bitrate of at least 3000kb, like alpinlol said. Either Upgrade you upload or go for 720p instead.

because streaming 1080p30 on fast preset takes quite a lot for your cpu to handle

you can stream games which dont use a lot cpu but if you try to stream something like bf4 your cpu would probably be maxed out at 100% all day if you dont have problems with performance just leave it there i have no idea what game you are trying to stream anyway

i am always wondering why people ask for help if they already changed preset and seem to know everything and if you try to tell them something they take it as an insult or something.

no friend, I do not speak English perfectly ... not look at it as an insult only questioned why get it?
but I understand I need to have bitrate above 3000 to have a good quality with fast preset in 1080.
Just do not understand why, more than 600 bitrate makes so much difference in quality?

It's called trying things out for yourself, and that's normal. Not only that, but the part about him "seeming to know everything" was unnecessary, as that was never implied anywhere. If you would have paid attention to what he actually wrote instead of interpreting things without really helping, you would see that tiba doesn't understand two main things here:
  • How CPU profiles work;
  • The importance of bitrate in regards to video quality.
AKA video encoding basics, and as this is an obscure subject to the uninitiated it isn't strange for most people to not understand this.

CPU profiles are named somewhat unintuitively when you look at it the first time. What this setting does is it trades compression efficiency against encoding speed. The slower a preset you choose, the more taxing the encoding will be for your computer. In other words, your CPU will have to work harder to encode the video. This technically means that you can get better quality with lower bitrates, but this is only feasable if you have the CPU power for it.

The quality of a video is directly dependent on the bitrate. Simply put: the more bits you give the video, the better it will look. 600Kbps of extra video data is actually quite significant, and can definitely be a big step up in terms of video quality. Think of it as extra space for more video data to be stored into. The more video data that can be stored, the less you have to sacrifice, making the video look better. You can think of CPU presets as the time you're willing to give the CPU to find out how it can most effectively store the video data into the "space", AKA the bitrate.

If you want to improve your video quality, your first step should be to increase the video bitrate. Changing CPU presets is another way, but the trade-off is that you usually have to dedicate a lot more CPU power for that. The best results can be gotten through experimentation with both bitrate and CPU presets.

That said, nothing is stopping you to livestream at a lower bitrate. It just won't look great.

dont forget to mention that obs actually tells you and also asks you if you are sure and know about what you are doing when you change your preset.

only part to be explained here should be bitrate and the preset if he asked for an explanation

but i do love you too :)
