Question / Help Good PC but can't record at 30 FPS @ 5000 bitrate?

Hey all, I'm new to the OBS scene and I recently wanted to record some CS:GO for a friend. After the clip was recorded, i watched it back and it looked like a slideshow. The encoding was overloaded and I would like to know the answer.

PC Specs:
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-1650 (6 cores 12 threads @ 3.20 GHz)
RAM: 64GB of ECC DDR3
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 1050ti
MOBO: Dell OEM t3600
HDD: WD 500GB 7200rpm
OS: Windows 7 Profesional 64Bit

Ill include the logfile with more indepth OBS settings. Thank you for your time and sorry for my bad English.

A 1050 isn't exactly a powerhouse. Make sure you're capping FPS in CS:GO at your monitor's refresh rate to avoid overloading the GPU.

1. Don't have Game and Display capture sources in the same scene.
2. Make sure that CS:GO is maxfps limited to no more 120fps.
3. When using NVENC your GPU might "de-overclock" itself, and given the level of CPU power you have you might want to use x264 as your encoder.
4. For high-quality, no fuss recordings, use the recording quality presets under Settings > Output when in Simple output mode. In the recording section, change the Recording Quality to Indistinguishable Quality, and then select your encoder.

I have capped the frame rate to 60 it still, it is an improvement, but it still isnt very good. Thankyou for your time.

I have now tried this. I put my OBS out put to simple. Put it to x264 and Indistinguishable, but it still looks quite bad, and encoding is still getting overloaded. I will include another log.

You posted the same log as before. Please post a cleanprofile log:

First restart OBS, then start your stream/recording for ~30+ seconds and stop it again. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc. When you're done, close OBS, Open OBS, and select Help > Log Files > Upload Last Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.

Ok, i have replicated it as best as i can and i will now post the most current log file from today.

Looks like you didn't do the "close, re-open OBS and post the last log" part of instructions. We need that info.

That said, don't use Display capture if you care about performance, use Game Capture instead.

I did close obs and restart my computer. I opened it back up and that was the last log of the list.

I put the last two log files in, i opened and closed OBS between each one.
