Question / Help God forbid someone knows how to fix a black screen...

I've been trying to figure out how to fix this issue for over a week straight, since I really want to get back to streaming. No one got back to me with useful information on how to fix it, and there aren't any videos that can help me out on youtube either.
I wanted to stream using the Reflector 2 program, and was planning on using OBS to capture gameplay through it. When I set up the scene and the game capture to capture the game, my screen was black on the stream preview. It is not a full screen game, and I do not know how to fix this problem. Help!

That appears to be a bad log. Might want to get one from the menu in the program.

A few possibilities though:
1.) You're on a laptop and don't have the adapters configured (see the laptop sticky thread). If the laptop is radeon, then you'll need window capture with compatibility mode on, or use game capture with the compatibility mode option on in the multiplatform version.
2.) There's a hook conflict caused by another graphics hooking program of some sort
3.) The game is DirectX 7 or lower, which isn't currently supported. Only DirectDraw, OpenGL, DirectX8/9/10/11 programs can be captured with game capture.

All else fails, you can always use window capture, though it requires the game not be run in a fullscreen mode (seems that it's not in this case). For best performance having aero on is recommended when using window capture.

I had streamed with an older version of the program through game capture somehow, but now it doesn't work. Do you want me to send another log file?

Hey Madon,

you can probably try "compatibility mode", it worked for me on my Laptop. Also look up if the input signal is only working on 32bit, then you have to use that OBS version.
